This application serves as a companion tool for the Veracity POINTSOURCE-Wireless and PINPOINT-Wireless devices, facilitating the installation and configuration of CCTV cameras.

Note: The app's utility is limited to users possessing one of the specified Veracity devices.

At this preliminary stage, rather than assigning a formal rating, users are encouraged to report bugs and provide feedback via email at [email protected]. Please include detailed information such as the model of your handheld device and the make and model of the connected camera.

Supported Cameras

The app has been tested with cameras from manufacturers such as AXIS, HikVision, ISD, Mobotix, Samsung, and UDP Technology. Please note that CAMPOINT is incompatible with ACTi cameras. Some cameras may not display thumbnails until correct credentials are supplied, or may require manual input if automatic detection fails.

Operational Guidelines

• Typically, a single camera connects directly to POINTSOURCE. If network connectivity is necessary, it is recommended to limit connected devices to no more than 10 for optimal performance.
• The app functions most effectively when used with POINTSOURCE / PINPOINT firmware version 1.1.6 or higher. It is incompatible with version 1.0.11.

Usage Instructions

1. Download and open the application.
2. If not already connected, the app will prompt you to access your device’s Wi-Fi settings—connect to the POINTSOURCE / PINPOINT network accordingly.
3. The app will then retrieve a list of available cameras and display them in a grid view.
4. The camera list updates automatically every 10 seconds; manual refresh can be triggered via the refresh icon at the top bar.
5. Selecting a camera directs you to the Camera Login Panel, where credentials can be entered to view live footage or access configuration options.
6. Tap the gear icon in the top bar to modify app or device settings as needed.

Managing Camera Login Data

The Camera Login Panel's input fields (username, password, video URL, configuration URL) can be pre-populated based on multiple sources:

• Previously saved credentials associated with the specific IP address.
• Saved data from other cameras produced by the same manufacturer.
• Default manufacturer information embedded within the app’s database.

If no suitable defaults are available for the configuration URL, the app will suggest using just the camera’s IP address. Users may manually edit any of these fields or select from their history of entered credentials for convenience.
